It was time – time to wash away the incarcerating concept of morality, time to wash away the constraints society placed upon him, time to become what he needed to be.
“You’ve been here before?” came the voice, distant from the depths of the purple haze.
He nodded and felt the familiar hypnotic lavender scent circling him.
“You know what you will become?” came the voice again, swimming through his hazed consciousness.
He didn’t nod this time; he knew what would happen, what his mission required from him. Lights spiralled through the smoke and warm hands clutched his face.
