“To the right, please.”
It came out timidly; even her voice battled against her.
“You heard,” the man shouted, thrusting the young girl forward. “Move!”
She stumbled into frame and stared at the camera through sunken, defeated eyes. The bruises on her body spoke of unspeakable horrors that the girl had faced and now, in her studio, she facilitated it.
She stared into the lens as a silent tear escaped the girl’s eye.
All notions of rescue, weak as they were, faded as she heard the low cries from the other room. With a final shamed look, the room flashed.
